Patriots of All Countries, Unite! / Patrioci wszystkich krajów, łączcie się!, 2009-2010

The work “Patriots of All Countries, Unite!”, the title of which is an ironic paraphrase of a slogan popular in the times of communism “Proletarians of All Countries, Unite!”, comprises of hundred images of flags of different countries overlaid on each other, painted layer after layer on a square canvas (150 × 150 cm). The sequence in which flags were painted was arbitrary. Each phase of painting consists of fragments of three flags, one new and two previously painted. The process of layering subsequent flags was documented in the video projection.
The same procedure was used to make drawings, which are complementary to the painting process. In those drawings lines represent borders of colored plains and forms characteristic to each flag.

wszystkich krajów, łączcie się!”, składa się ze stu, nałożonych na siebie obrazów flag różnych państw namalowanych warstwa po warstwie na kwadratowym płótnie (150 × 150 cm). Porządek malowania flag jest arbitralny.
W każdym obrazie kolejnej flagi występują fragmenty dwóch wcześniej namalowanych obrazów flag. Proces nakładania poszczególnych warstw udokumentowany jest na projekcji wideo.
Taka sama procedura zastosowana została w dopełniających proces malarski rysunkach nakładających się na siebie flag, gdzie linie określają granice kolorowych płaszczyzn i form, które charakteryzują poszczególne flagi.
